AUSTIN CITY LIMITS music festival ART BOOTH proposal

POD proposed (as an architecture office) to apply for one of 40 art booths at this years Austin City Limits music festival. Since we don't actually make or sell anything, we came up with 10 proposals of what we could sell ranging from Idea Jars to Skyscrapers. We proposaed to make live-designs which is to say design on the spot. The larger the object, the cheaper the cost of the design so a Skyscraper design would cost less than the Idea Jar design. We also proposed to make a custom chair to the buyers measurements in three different material options to choose from. The chairs of course would be delivered at a later date, but the idea was be hands on with "design" as a concept to sell. Our sketches and designs would then be "sold" to the buyer in a neat booklet form for them to take with them. We had high hopes for being one of the 40 art booths but unfortunately were not selected. There's always next year!
